Dear Neighbor,

Welcome to my Re-Election Campaign site!

Let me share a little bit about myself...

In Spring of 1984 my Husband and I along with our young family, moved here from my Hometown of Phoenix, Az.

As of March of this year we have resided in Heber Valley for 40 years where we raised our 4 children in the same home that we purchased for $52,000. I love my Mountain Valley Home!

However, that beautiful Mountain Valley that we first drove into 40 years ago has gone through some major growing pains but, none more so than the last 7 years and post-2020.

I have watched it grow from a quiet, small, close knit farming community of 4,500 people, to it's current population of nearly 19,565 citizens and growing.

In fact in 2018 Heber City was ranked No.1 for being the fastest growing 'micropolitan' City in the COUNTRY and with several approved annexations over the last several years,  the predicted growth is expected to reach nearly 32,000 (or more ???) by 2050.

It was that continued rapid growth and other issues that compelled me to run in 2021 for Heber City Council. I wanted to bring about awareness to the idea that while developmental progress is often inevitable, it needs to be done in a sustainable, efficient and manageable way.

Now, 3 1/2 years later I realize that while some accomplishments have been achieved, the continued growth has created another level of issues.

Therefore, I have chosen to run for a 2nd Term on the Heber City Council and endeavor to preserve some of that beautiful Valley we drove into 40 years ago... So, what's  next?

Going Forward...

I truly believe that while growth is vital for a healthy local economy it needs to be done responsibly and not at the expense of Heber’s small town charm or it's quality of life.  I believe that the path forward must include a plan for managed RESPONSIBLE change because, irresponsible growth for the sake of 'progress' can cripple the local economy and overwhelm our aging infrastructure.

And, while I recognize that some might presuppose that the City Council Members have been elected by it's citizens to make the "tough decisions" with very little Public input; I respectfully disagree. I truly feel that it takes a Village to keep the Village running.

That is why as I seek re-election for another 4 years as a Heber City Council member, my goal will be as it always has been from day 1:

To give the residents of our community a voice. A listening ear and a promise that I will try my best to provide answers and alternatives to problems in our community.

I am NOT a Politician. My only 'agenda' is to continue serving the Citizen's of Heber City.

I am a Citizen for the citizens.

Thank You.
